Valencia CF Academy gets recognition at a sports gala
Diario Sport and LaLiga present VCF's Alevín A with an award for their behavior in last season’s LaLiga FC Futures
The VCF Academy want those under their care to develop as players and people, but also want that to occur under the safest of conditions. That is why in recent weeks some important maintenance work has been undertaken on the 8-a-side pitches, updating the protective fencing.
“For us, the most important thing is that the child comes here to enjoy playing football, which is what he is passionate about because he wants to be a Valencia CF player. If you come and find a secure infrastructure and every year the facilities improve, then even better,” VCF Academy Coordinator Jesús Oliva told VCF Media.
The work to replace the old fence has been carried out over the last few weeks, taking advantage of the delayed start to the season for the 8-a-side teams. The Marketing and Operations & Infrastructure departments at the club have been in charge of designing and supervising the installation of perimeter structures that offer greater safety in the event of possible impact or collisions.
"It is a perimeter fence composed of aluminium tubing which guarantees absorption and better withstands impact,” explains Javi Sánchez, the Ciudad Deportiva’s Maintenance Manager. "This fence has padding consisting of chipboard covered with a high-density foam.”
This new fencing system has also been installed in other areas of the training ground, such as the Antonio Puchades stadium. In addition to its safety benefits, it allows for greater visibility to the different sponsors for the club, who continue to invest in the VCF Academy.
